A new study published in Social Forces by LCDS researcher Kim Stienstra examines how inequalities in children’s educational performance develop over the course of primary education.

Just prepared my talk at the #ecsr2026 conference in Dublin. With @kimstienstra.bsky.social and @dieuwkezwier.bsky.social we present a new method to assess school effectiveness, using register data on primary school tests in the Netherlands. We compare our method with standard value added models.
