In April of 2022, Donovan Casey spent five days with the Nationals but didn't play in a game. Then he never made it back to the majors. Is he a big leaguer? And how has he learned to live with that question rattling around his head? For @notus.com: www.notus.org/sports/washi...

A real question: What is a specific thing Trump has done that is *not* consistent with his being a paid agent of Russia, China, or NorK? (I *don't* think he is paid agent. Just vain, greedy, resentful, and ignorant. But old category of 'useful idiot' may be of use here, from RUS/PRC/NKor POV.)

Trump allies himself w/Kim Jong Un against South Korea: “Based on my very good relationship w/Kim Jong Un, I am not happy that the US has agreed to Joint Military Exercises…I recently asked the President of SK if they would like to join us in the Denuclearization of Iran, & they said, ‘No thanks!’”

Trump allies himself with totalitarian dictator Kim Jong Un against South Korea: “Based on my very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, of North Korea, I am not happy with the fact that the United States has, long ago, agreed to participate in Joint Military Exercises with South Korea. These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile, to a Country that, as long as Donald J. Trump has been President, has been unthreatening and respectful … While somewhat unrelated (?), I recently asked the President of South Korea if they would like to join us in the Denuclearization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they said, ‘No thanks!’”

Bulldozers are tearing through Big Bend for Trump's border wall. The Big Bend sector has the fewest crossings on the southern border — this wall costs $2.4 million for every arrest, and won't make anyone safer. Nobody asked for this. Just another corrupt deal for contractors.

Pancreatic cancer is so tough. But in an early trial, 7 of 8 patients (87.5%) who responded to a personalized mRNA vaccine + immunotherapy are still alive 6 years after surgery. It's designed to train the immune system to fight remaining cells. Promising, and worth attention.

‼️ The Trump admin via the Treasury Department has permanently removed the requirement for US companies to report who actually owns them—and deleted the existing database. The requirement existed to prevent money laundering and to keep hostile countries and criminal networks from hiding assets.

FinCEN Permanently Ends Beneficial Ownership Reporting Requirements for Millions of Small Business Owners

Will Delete Information Previously Reported by U.S. PersonsWASHINGTON––Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is issuing a final rule that permanently removes the requirement for U.S. companies and U.S. persons to report beneficial ownership information to FinCEN under the Corporate Transparency Act.  The final rule is effective on its publication in the Federal Register. FinCEN today also announced that it will delete previously reported information by U.S. persons—now exempt from the reporting requirements—from the beneficial ownership information database. “Today’s action is a victory for common sense and American small businesses,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “President Trump promised to cut red tape, and this final rule delivers. Treasury is eliminating a burdensome reporting requirement for millions of law-abiding business owners without compromising our national security.” The final rule:adopts the exemptions set out in the interim final rule issued in March 2025, making the rollback of beneficial ownership reporting by U.S. companies permanent;exempts U.S. persons who have obtained FinCEN IDs from any obligation to update or correct the information they originally provided to FinCEN to obtain their FinCEN IDs;eliminates the requirement for foreign companies to report U.S. person “company applicants” (i.e., the individuals who helped those foreign companies register to do business in the United States);exempts foreign pooled investment vehicles registered in the United States from reporting the beneficial ownership information of a U.S person in control of the investment vehicle; andconfirms that FinCEN will delete information about any individuals—company applicants, beneficial owners, or recipients of a FinCEN ID—that FinCEN reasonably believes is a U.S. person (e.g., the information is linked to a U.S. passport or U.S. driver’s license).Under the final rule, foreign entities that are reporting companies will still be required to report beneficial ownership information for foreign individuals. In addition to the final rule, FinCEN has issued Frequently Asked Questions, and will be updating guidance on FinCEN.gov to reflect the final rule. ###
