Mr. Trump’s choice to lead a mass pledge of allegiance to himself, followed by commanding his followers to cheat in the upcoming election, was unusual by presidential standards.

Funny … I want a country where people without a PhD know something about the ingredients and basic chemistry.
JD Vance on his son: "I want him to live in a country where you don't need a PhD in chemistry to understand the ingredient list at the grocery store"
I don't know that we previously had evidence that his weird ideas were delusional, but this …

Wow. Where have we heard anything like this before?
"Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in history that loves us so much he can't even breathe" -- in extremely culty scene, Trump has his supporters pledge to him that they will vote, then tells them they will "go to hell" if they don't Here's the full sequence:
This “noticing” talking point comes out of white nationalist/neo-Nazi circles. Typically part of antisemitic conspiracy theories.
JD Vance: "We were tired of being called racists for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer"
Since becoming president again, Trump has promised: -$5000 stimulus checks via "DOGE dividend" -$2000 stimulus checks via "tariff dividend" -$1000+ checks via "savings" from expiring ACA subsidies -$5000 "dividend" if Rs win midterms No checks have been issued www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-magi...

Ay ay. I'd have thought that being so madly anti-1A would have turned off nearly all Americans. Still amazes me how many still support him.
Trump: "They kill they people when they get out to protest. They shoot them right between the eyes."
Another example of (a) how Trump is completely ignorant and/or a lying liar, and (b) a politician dissing an improvement to our system that would have prevented him from being elected in the first place.
Trump: "They have ranked choice, which is a crooked form of voting. It's totally dishonest. They throw everybody into a hat and somebody backstage that nobody knows picks a winner. It's ridiculous."

Sad to hear. I think first of his superb clinical work on recurrent brief depression, showing that it was essentially a forme fruste of major depressive disorder by examining personal history, family history, treatment response, outcome, etc. … that and nominal determinism :)

This sounded especially bizarre to me. So I looked it up. Duffy seems to have confused the EPA ending a credit for “engines that automatically turn off when vehicles come to a complete stop and restart when drivers take their feet off the brake pedal” with the START buttons that are now universal.
Sean Duffy: "You know the stop/start button on your car? I hate that thing. Thank you Lee Zeldin! He's gotten rid of it and the first cars without the stop/start button are rolling off the line."
