Use Corporation's Hyakki Yagyo, an RPG for the Nintendo Famicom in Japan, pits a heroic ninja (hanging around in this 1987 ad) against evil! The game was named, and loosely based on, the Japanese legend of the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" featuring turn-based battles and recruitable allies.

Named after the Japanese folklore legend of the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons", this turn-based RPG pit our hero (hanging upside down here) against an evil horde of demons that have broken free after a meteor during the night shatters the barriers that have kept them at bay.

It features thirty dungeons scattered across a large map promising to immerse you in its role-playing experience.

Cart size was 22MB + 66k of RAM and had a battery backup for saves!

A 1993 Kellogg's Apple Jacks promotion for Super Mario Land 2 contained a score sheet for the game, to "keep track of points". Somehow they missed the fact that the game does not have a score system, rendering the sheet profoundly absurd and, fittingly, completely pointless.

This is a 1993 official Kellogg's Apple Jacks/Super Mario Land 2 promotion.
It contains a score sheet for the game. "Keep track of the points you earn", it says.
"SUPER MARIO LAND 20: 6 GOLDEN COINS
While you're helping Mario track down the six golden coins, keep track of the points you earn in each zone of Mario Land."
Super Mario Land 2 does not have a score system.
Like Super Mario Bros. 2 before it, or Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario Bros. Wonder after it, it simply does not have "points".
If the writer somehow meant something else the game does track, like coins or enemies defeated, this is a failure of communication as the game or its manual do not call them "points", nor do they function as a score in the way points do in other Mario games.
It is much more likely that the writer simply assumed that all Mario games have points, and did not check the specific game in question.

Panzer Dragoon Saga - Play it Now! Giving you a taste of life in a far-future science-fantasy world of bio-dragons and airships: Sega Saturn Magazine in May 1998. I still had a Saturn then alongside a PlayStation; this and Shining Force III were the last two new games I bought for it.

A scan of the cover from the Out Of Print Archive scan upload with artwork of Azel, a character from the game sitting with one knee up and a hand crooked under her chin. Panzer Dragoon Saga Disc Play in Now can be seen in bold text to her.On the CD... A gallery of screenshots and basic instructions on how to play the first disc of the game.
