Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me. I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc

I do think there’s value in finding viewpoints that differ from your own. But I don’t think it’s valuable to seek that out specifically. What’s valuable is seeking out thoughtful perspectives It’s only within those thoughtful perspectives, rooted in expertise or experience, that variety has value
