Woke was always rebellious. It was about the mouse speaking up to the cat, and the cat was incensed that the natural order of things might change.

To the media and commentary elite, the great sin of these various social movements during Trump 1 was that they demanded respect & decent treatment from their betters, when they are instead supposed to politely and quietly beg for small amounts should the high and mighty feel charitable about it.
