How We Made The Moon Cry is OUT NOW! Remember this is an indie publisher supporting indie creators and we rely on word of mouth and viewers like YOU! Thank you for the help AND support! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wildstarpress/how-we-made-the-moon-cry

For centuries, humans and supernatural creatures alike have adored and loved our planet’s moon, singing her praises, waxing poetic, and admiring her from afar. But have we ever taken account of how we have made her feel? Do we really understand how the power of this gorgeous celestial body either takes its toll on or enchants the silly mortals on this dying planet called Earth? Tell me, how did you make the moon cry?
Were they tears of joy? Pain?
Heavens help us if it was of anger.

How We Made The Moon Cry is OUT NOW on Kickstarter!

We're not at MCM London this year as we're focusing our energy on upcoming projects, but you can see us at Inkblot Nottingham next weekend, SCARF (Sheffield) in October and @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social in November! Hope it's a great weekend for everybody at MCM, it's always a fun one. Drink water!!!

We’re down to the final 24 hours(ish) of our open call! We want your stories, either single chapter comics, serialised comics, prose one-shots or ongoing tales exploring mecha, sci-fi and space fantasy.

Can anybody point me in the direction of some large format comics? I’ve already got the big newspaper version of The Spirit (not my pic) but are there any others I should check out?

OPEN CALL! We want your comics and prose! We are launching a new zine later this year called ZENESIS, featuring comics, prose, articles and more covering Mecha, Sci-fi and Space-Fantasy genres. Deadline is the end of March.

I may come to regret this decision, but... SCARF! Sheffield Comic ARts Fair! Next October! Liam "Pais" Hill drew our mascot! Exhibitor application form will be out soon, tables will cost as little as I can get away with! Please remember to apply so this isn't a terrible decision on my part 🙏

Just had some very underwhelming tofu katsu curry. It was sweet inari tofu with some undercooked rice and some very thin curry. I should have known better. This is on me.

thinking out loud theres a weird lack of space for this type of stuff that's not fully mainstream & also not artsy in a d&q, fantagtaphics sort of way. despite those styles being quite popular online. not saying 'shortbox' is a style per se but theres like a sensibility

Speaking as someone who has committed the SBCF graphic novella sin I think a lot of it comes down to the lack of other places to release/pitch that length of work, esp if you’re in specific genres.

Damn, this is sad news. This only relates to their US business, but seems the French side is under administration + facing layoffs too. Hopefully, they can pay folks, regroup and keep going. Would be a huge shame to lose a publisher with so much history. bleedingcool.com/comics/comic...

Looking to commission an artist for TWO spot illustrations of some original MECHA by the end of the month. Small budget, quick turnaround, but definitely paid work! Any recommendations?

I quite like this! I worry "PRESS" may not reproduce well at smaller sizes, but no doubt this has all been tested. Would love a case study w/ rationale, the brand in use and where the new mascot w/ the flag comes from... but for now I dig it! Nicely done @picturecrotty.bsky.social
