today in demons, by dostoevsky: a criminal is in town doing crimes. he has robbed a church & maybe murdered some guy. nikolay's wife(?) marya believes nikolay has been replaced by a hired impostor from a lower social class (not a prince). during a duel, nikolay gets shot in the hat

another 30 pages of demons. this will take a year or so. in todays reading: nikolay's mom is scared of nikolay, babies are scared of nikolay. the word dreamy, dreamily used maybe 20 times. kirilov has discovered mindfulness (looked at a leaf). there are guns, kirilov has at least 3

We are VERY EXCITED for NYCC because we have a new booth display. It's probably not every exciting for our fans, but it's very exciting for us and we just wanted to share our feelings.

evin's catalan girlfriend suggests (politely) climate change might be the cause of the disasters & plagues that strike every city I visit within days/weeks/months of my arrival. but my empirical experience says otherwise (it's a curse; it's bad mojo, etc)

Three fields and ten trees on the South Downs. One of a small series of pictures made as part my ongoing ‘Fieldwork’ series, all taken in the middle of bright sunny days with little cloud, no shadows and no more than two or three colours within the frame.

(still haven't gotten around to reading Camus. thought I'd start w the myth of sisyphus due to the iconic quote then realised I have to finish demons/devils, the possessed or w e first. got back to it & the 2 guys have just re-introduced themselves so maybe this is where it gets fun? idk)
