This is an actual post. This is not funny. This is beyond desperate. This is a deeply unwell man who doesn’t belong anywhere near the levers of power. Every member of his cabinet and Congress is complicit in not demanding his removal now.

The firing-up-the-base-with-Islamophobia project seems tired, but Drumpfist politics has gotten this far solely by firing up their base, so I guess it feels foolhardy for them to quit now.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights. There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us. This is my favorite guide.

I first joined the Tule Lake Pilgrimage in 2010 to grasp the devastating consequences of resisting a loyalty questionnaire in the middle of a war. At the last pilgrimage in 2024, I documented the movement to translate and interpret the Japanese-language literature of incarceration. buff.ly/cOgAUSB
