I was pleased to give a quote for this piece highlighting Adam Kampff's huge impact on neuroscience and education. I know I'm just one of hundreds that he left a lifelong impression on due to his generous fostering of knowledge ❤️
Adam Kampff prioritized spreading knowledge over publishing flashy papers in prestigious journals, but colleagues say his mark on neuroscience was undeniable. The researcher and educator passed away on 9 December. By Lauren Schneider www.thetransmitter.org/systems-neur...

Remembering Adam Kampff, a dear friend, inspirational teacher, and a remarkable human being. He dedicated his life to broadening scientific education and demystifying modern technology to young people around the world. www.sainsburywellcome.org/web/research...
I was extremely lucky to work with Adam and had my life changed because of it, and I know I'm only one of countless. He was beyond special.
Last night Adam Kampff, the glue, the light, the catalyst, the builder, the smile, left us. He and his work transformed the lives of many labs, scientists, students. He inspired and was generous to his last transformation, working tirelessly to set up a foundation to continue the work.Thank you!
Today we honour the memory of Adam Kampff, whose passing leaves an immense void in our community. We are profoundly grateful to Adam. The best way to honour him is to continue innovating, collaborating, and sharing generously, as he taught us. Thank you, Adam Kampff.
it's been a while since I've been connected on the socials! I'm heading to #cshlzebrafish today though and hoping to connect in person 😀👋🐟
I really enjoyed this book. Hope that putting it on a list of books to remove only encourages curious readers to go and read it ❤️
We're disappointed to see Ben Barres's powerful book "The Autobiography of a Transgender Scientist" among the ~400 titles removed from the Naval Academy Library. Needless to say, we're proud to have published his book and will keep it — and his memory — alive.
I'm pleased to report that the board has now heard from NIH that the appointments of these three investigators and similarly situated folks are being extended. Thank you NIH! Delighted that the stellar work there will be continuing!
Compelling pushback from @jmgrohneuro.bsky.social and the Board of Scientific Counselors at the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH) regarding termination of tenure-track investigators driven by DOGE. 1/2
Encouraged by so many people that showed up to support science at NYC #sufsnyc . But it's a marathon, not a sprint. Find links and resources here: linktr.ee/sufsnyc?utm_...
Was at the NYC @standupforscience.bsky.social in Washington Square Park (here on sabbatical leave) and delighted to see superstar theoretical physicist and Harvard colleague Prof. Lisa Randall address the crowd! (she's in a hat holding a mic, halfway up vertically and in the left 3rd)
The Trenton #standupforscience2025 was so much fun- if a bit windy. So nice to see so many scientists a d non-scientists there today @barrlab.bsky.social @rburdine1.bsky.social
Thank you to all the organizers, amazing speakers, and EVERYONE who turned out to #standupforscience NYC today! @standupforscience.bsky.social (2nd photo not mine but was shared and was a spectacular view!)

Big paper from @paigel.bsky.social in our lab: Sensory feedback is always crucial for proper development, right? Wrong! Crazier still, the motor system is the slowest part of a developing reflex circuit! Surprises abound in this bluetorial c’mon along…. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/... 1/19
Sensation is dispensable for the maturation of the vestibulo-ocular reflex
Vertebrates stabilize gaze using a neural circuit that transforms sensed instability into compensatory counterrotation of the eyes. Sensory feedback tunes this vestibulo-ocular reflex throughout life....
