Little Rainey's #249761 life is in danger. She arrived in Apple Valley CA on March 13 and is now approaching the front of the line and will be added to the euthanasia list very shortly. This beautiful girl looks like a young puppy and is deserving of a life with a family -

The current red lantern, Jenny Roddewig, is on the move! Plus clarification about her stolen drop bags. I don't know Jenny personally but from the interactions I've had w/ her, she seems like a class act and someone who really does everything for her dogs. Someone to cheer for, for sure. #mushersky

Facebook post from Sage Mountain Sled Dogs: UPDATE: They're on the move again!!! What a day. Jenny has been through a lot, but the dogs were able to get some quality rest while "Mom" hunted down enough supplies that they could safely continue their journey. The dogs are in good spirits, which is what is most important. Jenny's family was able to have a conference call with Race Marshall, Warren Palfrey, and Jason (who was the volunteer checker in Kaltag) where some clarifying information was provided. First, there were checkers in Kaltag when she arrived (thanks, Jason!), only 2 out of her 4 drop bags were missing, and the checkers were able to assist Jenny in her search for supplies. Cell phone reception is spotty at best in those areas, which made it difficult to collect the most accurate information prior to this conference call. Please help share this information far and wide! Jenny is one tough, smart, and strong woman! Her and Mike work hard and give everything they've got into providing the best care and life for their pups. The dogs mean everything to them. It is truly inspiring to watch! To be able to pick yourself up and keep moving forward after a rough day while fighting sleep deprivation and still providing top-notch care to the pups is truly amazing! Continued: I've received several messages inquiring how we can best support Jenny. Prayers, positive vibes, and good feelings are welcome! The pizza place in Unalakleet, Peace on Earth, takes orders over the phone and will deliver to the checkpoint for mushers.
