We need to be ready with policies that protect ordinary people and hold tech execs accountable. As an aside, when the police come and mess up your house (break down the door, destroy your stuff) because they are coming to "help" a victim, they do not pay to help repair it. A few victims I spoke with didn't have front doors because they couldn't afford to fix it.
many centrists are as disdainful of science as MAGA these days. virtually every study on the topic, and there have been many, show that youth programs reduce crime. it's a settled question. this is no different from claiming vaccines are a hoax.
