My small rural hometown also put a side walk in about 4 years ago and it absolutely revolutionized the civics of the entire place. Literally all anyone talks about it how much most accessible and enjoyable it made things for everyone. This type of shit rules.

god i love the bus. loud drunk conversations at 1am about how people are LOYAL to frontier now that spirit is gone, couple 60 year old ladies coming from the blues fest, man delivering a giant arrangement of flowers. it’s got everything. i think everyone should have to ride the bus at least weekly
so i might be in the new season of Hijack because they just turned off the power to the subway line i’m on in Chicago and we’re just sitting randomly in a tunnel

Several people are asking whether this is even legal. Due to an unfortunate loophole in MN election law, this is legal until June 26 (when absentee voting starts). It’s still a disgusting tactic, though.

My opponent's super PAC is using an AI deepfake of me to mislead voters. They can't win with the truth - so they're resorting to lies. It's disgusting. Minnesotans deserve better.

Every time people cite construction as a reason for small businesses closing in Uptown, I think about how the Minneapolis City Council funded a $900,000 construction hardship program that Mayor Frey did not implement. This would have been support for small businesses in Uptown.

Building more studios/1-bedroom still brings down costs for larger, “family-sized” housing That said, I also want to advocate for multi bedroom units not just for families, but for us weirdos who just like living with friends even in our 30s in this era of otherwise growing isolation
Zak Yudhishthu@zyudhishthu.bsky.social · 3mo agoThese yuppies renting 3+ bedroom units look much like their peers in smaller units. To me, it looks a lot like roommates looking for a better deal on rent. Altogether, this data further suggests that building small units would ease pressure on existing family-sized housing.

In texting with @jbj.bsky.social I came to the realization that I like AXS more than Ticketmaster mostly because Ticketmaster abuses its customers thanks to its market power; AXS does it for sport, and I grudgingly respect its commitment to the game
