This project I prototyped a year ago regularly gives me chills when I play it, which is rare for something I work on for long periods of time. It's still creatively cooking, but after A MAZE I think the direction I want to go with this is participatory performance in a live setting
something very charming about bilinear filtered (blurry) extremely low resolution textures, especially for organic textures like metal, rust, little details, etc. maybe it's just my fondness for old PC games and the N64 but I love it.
Now that I've escaped retopo/texture/rig/animation hell, I'm back to practicing sculpting
thinking of watching ghost in the shell arise before the new anime comes out
I initially wanted to pose the title screen as if they were dancing, but I couldn't pull it off.
Early variant of a character, when I was still figuring out how I should sculpt the hair.
Over the last two years (on and off) I've been working on this game while trying to improve my 3d sculpting/modeling skills, and I think it turned out pretty good. I'd appreciate it if you checked it out 🙏

I remade the most of characters twice during development. Probably around seven fully made characters (excluding mesh variations) I ended up not using.

If you like getting good at a difficult video game you should try reading a difficult book
I'm releasing a game soon called "doppelganger". It's a point and click escape room game, ~10 minutes long. If any mutuals would like to help playtest this game then let me know, I'd really appreciate it.
