People these editions are so fantastic. The hardest part is deciding whether to shelve them with or without dust jackets. Incredible stamped leather? Beautiful alternate cover art? A conundrum of the highest order.

Every few weeks, I am reminded of the word 'concatenate' and I have to re-process my grief over the fact that it doesn't mean 'to add more cats'.

This person's perspective is an insult to real creatives with disabilities. And the 'tools' part misses the point. You have to actually write the book to be a writer. If you're just an idea person, that's neat, but don't claim to be a writer if you don't actually write. 1/x

Why is it so common for actual medical offices to call me then say they can't tell me why they called me until I verify personal information? They have to realize that reads like a scam call.

My agent for my first book, who's not my agent now, picked me from the slush pile after I'd queried for years to find one. My second book, no agent for & is with a tiny press. I have no fairy tale story of discovery as a writer. I got on bluesky & never stopped gabbing & used it to promote my work.
