My spicy TTRPG art and layout take? Consider just straight up doubling your rates and see what happens. Even if you lose half your clients you make the same amount and now have way more free time to promote your stuff.

I learned a strategy for navigating social media last year (from a reel, ironically). I think it was maybe from Magic steamer Maldhound? After scrolling mindlessly, if it felt like a waste of time, put down your phone and loudly exclaim: "wow, that fucking sucked." I've reclaimed so much time.

Been watching more stand-up over the past few years, and something I've noticed pretty consistently: cis comedians can write genuinely funny jokes that mock trans people, but only when those jokes are grounded in actual insights that have been gained through proximity, curiosity, and receptivity.

board game design quagmire: What term best communicates "adjacent (which does not include diagonals)"? Adjacent, directly adjacent, touching, connected... something else? (I will clarify in the rulebook, but I want the most self-evident term possible. Context: card-based tile exploration game.)

I had the honour of being a developmental editor/consultant on this game, and it really shook up a lot of my game design maxims and preconceived notions. It's one of those games that challenges the bounding definitions of how roleplaying games can work.

Convention organizers! As a frequent convention guest, I just want to mention that a thing I always find myself wishing I had was a phone-friendly PDF of flash cards of key event staff, key venue staff, and fellow guests. Just a quick gallery of people with photo, name, pronouns, role, and key info.

The process of moving into a new place this month and rebuilding my life as a person living solo for the first time in over a decade has been expensive and hard. If you've been thinking about picking up any of my games, this would be a great time to go for it. store.buriedwithoutceremony.com

first step is we are born and everything is 'how can i get more i gotta take care of me.' then we learn to share and learn 'gotta make sure everyones even' but DANG there is something really powerful about a third step of walkin into a room and saying 'how can i make sure everyone has more than me?'

Lately I've been really loving putting on background music with vocals in a language I don't speak, because I love words but am easily distracted by them. I'd love recommendations on music featuring non-english-speaking women vocalists, with a vibe that's any of: haunting, forlorn, sapphic, cunty.

This pride, let's get a bit more granular about what we mean when we say Be Gay, Do Crimes. Bottoms, you should be cyberbullying, committing credit card fraud, shoplifting, and carrying drugs. If you're switch, side, or vers, you need to hop turnstiles, vandalize, and do the occasional arson.
