During the first dotcom boom, there was a website called Jewhoo (after Yahoo) where you could type in someone's name and the website would tell you if they were Jewish. The tone was affectionate and celebratory of Jewish successes. Then the Nazis started using the website, and they shut it down.

I think one of the biggest tells of how hegemonically Christian the West is is how people who don’t see themselves as Christian because they’re not practicing Christians are still very much engaged in the Christian project of positioning “Christian” as a synonym for “good.”
