We were given permission to remove the board and use the room for storage 🤌🏻
We got our first place today. Sat through tenant induction where we were told about the state of the art system that we're not allowed near, grand. Failed to mention that its a tiny portion of an entire room that we're apparently not allowed utilize for storage 🤡
just a note that the shop is going to be closing on Friday for about a month or so whilst we hopefully welcome a new housemate, so this is your last week to pick up some lovely handmade art for a while www.etsy.com/ie/shop/pray...
That "men should be allowed, without judgement or consequence, to do an amount of harm to women and girls that I personally deem acceptable" seems to be a genuine opinion still held by too many people in the year two thousand and twenty six is incredibly grim
It's so infuriating that the same media who constantly & incessantly lie about my community, who say we are a threat to other women & children, try ban us from toilets, sports & healthcare, will simultaneously & shamelessly eulogise a bunch of dead nonces & misogynists while silencing their victims.
"Bluesky is a political echo chamber" okay but I'm mostly here to chat with fun internet people and post art and make jokes, I cannot stress how much I don't care
All the "greats" who loved young ones are dying recently
BREAKING: Sunday Times and Sun columnist Rod Liddle has died aged 66 after a short illness
I see Ron Liddle has run away to the great young wan in the sky
Haters focusing on Liddle's violence toward his pregnant partner, his galloping racism, or his repeated defences of paedophilia, should remember to mention he was also one of the worst writers to ever do it. A calorie-free hack of the first water. Just absolute dogshit, back to front.
Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.
Starting a GoFundMe for paint for the house because when did it get so expensive
The email from Amnesty International UK is even more gaslighting than their public statement… 😖 Including ‘gender critical’ transphobic tropes such as “rolling back women’s hard won rights” and treating trans people with “dignity”! F*ck them!!! 😖😣 Donation cancelled.
If you issue an apology whenever a rights-infringing organisation, movement or state objects to your research output pointing out their character as a rights-infringing actor, you might as well close up shop, because that's always going to happen, so you'll never be able to oppose any of them!
Amnesty's capitulation is unacceptable, because a human rights NGO is not simply a discount think tank (viz. a double discounted research university). It's part of its job description to specifically leverage its resources to stand its ground against actual and threatened SLAPPs from bad actors!
I love how you can just say "I did it in a personal capacity." It's like a Get Out Of Jail Free Card. Minister Noel Grealish attended ‘anti-woke’ conference addressed by Nigel Farage – The Irish Times share.google/4of4SW2C2uGE...

Many in the migrants' rights sector have been warning about exactly this. AI is absolutely not suitable for being used in asylum cases. Not only because of the risk of "hallucination", but also because it is unable to deal with the nuance and complexity. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

Eternally funny to me that previously everyone just sort of agreed to behave themselves and not take the piss, but Ken O'Flynn is constitutionally incapable of acting like an adult, so, here we are
A couple of months on, an update: the current system allows TDs to lodge PQs simply by sending the text to an designated email address. After the recess they’ll have to use a gated online system to supply questions instead, making it more cumbersome to lodge multiple interrelated questions at once.
Stop giving family members of disabled people a platform over disabled voices. Family members are important but we should not be prioritizing them in media stories about issues affecting disabled people. If you can't find a direct link, find a DPO. Find an advocate with the same disability.
Disabled stories deserve to be told, and deserve to be told well. But how can we change what’s shown on screen when disabled people are still shut out of the rooms where those decisions are made?
We got our first place today. Sat through tenant induction where we were told about the state of the art system that we're not allowed near, grand. Failed to mention that its a tiny portion of an entire room that we're apparently not allowed utilize for storage 🤡
Between the Leto story and everything else it's as abundantly clear as ever that way too many people still don't care about or acknowledge the harm many men in the public eye do to women and girls, even when it's an open secret.
News is full of someone's death, who the women's whisper network would warn each other that if you brought a younger sibling/cousin to those gigs to never leave them alone with him.
Excellent reporting as always from Shamim

Listening to Daughter from Hell for the first time and I desperately want to give this girly an inhaler
"Protect Women" until it's a fella you're friendly with because he showed up to a few protests and played a few tunes. The bar is in hell, much like child groomers.
It's ok not to eulogise bad people who made good music, especially if you were silent about them up until now.

Judicial reviews are a fundamental part of democracy — not a dig at the Government by greedy lawyers
A judicial review is any case taken against any public body that may have broken the law — it's the separation of powers working as intended, writes Cathal Malone
