Thank you to everyone who joined and supported our conference on Monitoring Ecosystem Recovery at the Landscape Scale this week. We are so pleased a wide range of delegates from academia, policy and practice decided to join us - we hope you made many new and valuable connections 🌳

Astonishing: “in 2024, British bumblebees experienced their worst year since the BCT started its monitoring campaign…the numbers of bees were down by more than one fifth…one of our commonest species, the Red-tailed Bumblebee declined a staggering 74%” 🐝 Excellent summary article here ⬇️

Really interesting new research using a fantastic long term dataset: “phosphorus loads in the River Thames have decreased by approximately 80 per cent over the past 40 years — thanks to improved wastewater treatment and agricultural practices – yet algal bloom threats persist.” 🐟
