Some of the best interactions are the spontaneous ones that occur between two random fans who’ve never met before. I had one of those tonight. Complimented this guy on his rad home 1969 Brooks Robinson jersey, and we had a nice short chat on Eutaw Street.
As awful as yesterday was in Birdland… The vibes in the Yard tonight were ~not as dead as you’d expect~ There was actually a decent energy. For whatever that’s worth.
There’s a lady here with a sign that says “Please don’t trade Mr. Splash.”

Adley Rutschman’s eyes watered throughout a conversation at his new locker. He reiterated how much it meant to him that he was accepted the way he was in Baltimore. But he also understands the business, and while he’s processing, he’s trying to look forward
His last hug as an Oriole came from Cowser. Sad moo.

The last Orioles game I ever attended with a close family member who subsequently died a very agonizing and traumatic death to an aggressive form of cancer, was Adley Rutschman’s big-league debut.

It’s a travesty that Manny Machado isn’t a lifetime Oriole. I’m open to that argument and criticism of the institutional failures, and the economics of the contemporary game, that led to that outcome. But the actual trade wasn’t bad. They got 7.5 WAR out of a yearslong rotation piece for a rental.
Kind of wild that I’m only just now (in 2026!) learning about a 2015 TV appearance from one of my favorite bands of the 2010s (I guess “Yo Gabba Gabba!” wasn’t really on my radar, lol) . . . But, man, does this song slap.
