"A concentration camp, in its most basic definition, is a place where a targeted civilian population, not necessarily accused of a crime, is detained and at least some of their basic rights are suspended," writes @jwashing.bsky.social. "That’s precisely what’s happening in the United States today."

Don’t call them ICE detention centers. Call them camps | John Washington

I’ve spent a decade reporting on immigration enforcement. The word ‘camp’ best captures the political function of these facilities

So anyway THIS IS ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL NEWSPAPER www.wired.com/story/epstei... Honestly doesn't surprise me, we were the real deal! My first article for The Bark was about parents drug testing their kids that I reported on at 15. This is next level.

A Teen Reporter Searched for His Community in the Epstein Files. Adults Freaked Out

An Instagram post turned one California student newspaper into a free-speech flash point. The students say they were just doing their homework.

It is sooooo concerning that anyone can get GLP-1s now if they're willing to pay. Way too many people are using them who don't need them, which can be dangerous physically and certainly societally. I don't understand why these drugs aren't more restricted. www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/beyo...

A Size 4 Can Now Get on a GLP-1. Is That a Problem?

WHOA DHS does not say that the agent feared for his life… just the vague concern for “public safety.” So he killed him just because he did not want him in America, not because of any specific threat to agents?

Hi Mayor! Coned reduced voltage for many neighborhoods uptown and in the Bronx. Wondering if the same considerations were taken for other parts of the city? We have elders in our building with disabilities who had no way of getting out of their apt because our building had to shut down the elevator

So amid the heat wave in NYC ConEd has reduced voltage levels. In addition to leaving thousands w/o power, many elevators are unusable, which strikes me as hugely discriminatory/ illegal for disabled and elderly folks. Not a lawyer but IMO ConEd should be sued over this. abc7ny.com/amp/post/vol...

Voltage reductions remain as Con Ed makes some progress on power outages from intense heat in New York City | abc7ny.com
