Whitney Hodgins is a Master of Arts student at Athabasca University focusing on Heritage and Social History. Picture this: You are tending to your field as a farmer when all of a sudden you see a shadow on the ground approach you in the distance. When you look up into the sky, you see this round dark orb blocking out the sun with a weird looking shaped item floating beneath it on strings. It is approaching the ground… then you realize it is approaching you! You back up and then turn to run as fast as you can away from it.

In early 2000's I was stalked by a man while living beside a lake. He would jiggle chains from the side of his boat in the middle of the night and threaten to do me. It wasn't until my neighbours also complained to police that any action was taken. Be a good neighbour like these people were.💕

The Kaslo & Slocan Railway was a brilliant piece of Canadian engineering, bringing extremely heavy silver-lead ore downgrade with very light narrow-gauge steam locomotives using the latest state-of-the-art Westinghouse air brakes. It looked primitive, even in 1895, but the design was astonishing.

What an evening. Was going to cut the grass but decided to clean the botttom of the mower. Had a dizzy spell with all the BP meds and the tilted mower fell on my hand, handle hit me in the head and knocked me into a cement block nearby. Brings new meaning to dizzy blondes with a little bit of grey.😂
