Ossoff: In my view, he's obsessed with Georgia because he can't get over the fact that it was black voters and black political power who were instrumental to his defeat in Georgia and in a number of crucial battleground states.

61 years ago, state troopers attacked unarmed, peaceful protestors in Selma with clubs & tear gas. Images & videos of Bloody Sunday shocked the nation & eventually led to the passage of the VRA – which SCOTUS just destroyed Our fight is not over. Today we march again for equality & justice

We cross this bridge yet again In 1965, civil rights leaders marched from Selma to Montgomery to demand equal voting rights Now civil rights leaders are back to fight for the very VRA freedoms SCOTUS just dismantled. We will not stay silent – this is the time to act!

Happy Mother's Day! here's what awaits the special mom in my life 1. Breakfast 2. The mother of all civil rights actions! Giving my wife tickets to Montgomery, Alabama, where next weekend we march. Please join us 👉https://blackpowerwarroom.com/dayofaction/

This is a mother's day for organizing. Today I'm busy getting out the word about the march on Montgomery, Alabama next Saturday while also supporting local organizing against confederate special sessions happening to gut black political power across the South. Mothers let's make it happen.

Black voter participation soared right after the VRA passed in 1965. But not until 1992, after Congress strengthened the VRA to require majority-minority districts, did we start getting closer to proportional Black representation in Congress. Because Black votes finally counted more in the South.

Black representation in the US House, Confederacy vs. rest of the US: chart showing a brief surge during Reconstruction, then almost none during Jim Crow, then a big surge after the VRA (mostly in the rest of the US, not the Confederacy), then a big surge all over the US, especially the Confederacy. Only in the last 10 years has Black representation in the House grown to about the same proportion as the US black population.

The DOJ violates the Epstein Files Transparency Act on the daily. So I'm suing Todd Blanche. As a journalist, I cannot report accurately on the Epstein Files if I cannot even read them. I am represented by @brendanballou.bsky.social & we seek to hold the DOJ accountable for its noncompliance.

1. The central claim in the indictment of SPLC is a lie. The DOJ/FBI accuse SPLC of lying to donors about seeking to “dismantle” extremist groups while secretly funding them. But the funds were used to infiltrate & help law enforcement dismantle these groups. Kash Patel knows this is the truth…

“For my friends everything; for my enemies the law.” DOJ has become an instrument of authoritarianism. No more laments for what it was; or talk of “abuses”; or wishful thinking about how they can’t get away with it. They can, if not confronted across the board. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-l...

The next Big Lie is to taking shape right in front of us. Donald Trump will try to use this to assert illegal and unconstitutional powers over the 2026 elections.

What a gift such a clearly unconstitutional executive order would be! Though divorced from legal and factual reality, it would enable the courts to invalidate this power grab well in advance of the election, and confirm the clear limits to fed'l interference in elections. wapo.st/3N5cpEn

Trump, seeking executive power over elections, is urged to declare emergency

Activists who say they are in coordination with the White House are circulating a draft executive order that would unlock extraordinary presidential power over voting.

State of the Union speeches aren’t about policy – they’re about setting the narrative. If you hear about the 2020 election tonight, it’s not about the past. It’s about creating doubt that could be used to challenge the 2026 election. 🧵⬇️

NEW: The unsealing of the FBI’s search warrant affidavit for its raid of a Fulton County, Georgia, election facility prompted swift condemnation from voting rights advocates, election experts and former federal officials. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

‘An absolute travesty': Critics slam affidavit behind Fulton raid for relying on 2020 election lies

The affidavit reinforced fears that the FBI’s seizure was not about uncovering new evidence but about resurrecting a false narrative.
