SCOTUS just found a way to strike yet another blow to the VRA. In brief, their move means that, within the 8th circuit, there is no more right for individuals or organizations to sue over violations of Section 208, which among other things protects people with disability.

a thought i had while talking to a friend is that a federal end to partisan gerrymandering has to be at the top of the democratic party's agenda, and may likely get there because of threat the status quo poises to black representation, and thus black political involvement altogether.

Trump's DOJ is losing in Fulton County – so they've resorted to harassing election workers. In 2020, workers saw death threats due to false claims. This case was initially rejected by ATL's FBI Chief. It's built on false claims that were investigated and rejected, including by Republican officials.

Just like their denial of the 2020 election results, they're being chosen *for* a willingness to ignore reality. These questions are litmus tests that demonstrate loyalty to one man – not to the American people, our constitution, or the rule of law in general.
