As for the deficit, for every single dollar the federal government brought in via taxes and tariffs last year, 2025, it spent roughly $1.34. I have no idea what it will look like for 2026. 🤦♀️
I set a letter to both of my Senators and my Representative. Here's the letter. Subject: Urgent: Demand for Structural Legislative Reforms to Restrict Executive Spending Dear [Senator/Representative], I am writing to you today as a constituent and a deeply concerned taxpayer.

Here's some gasoline price math: Based on recent data, the total national cost for gasoline in April 2026 is roughly $11 billion to $13 billion higher than it was in April 2025. While the price of a gallon has surged nearly 30%, actual fuel consumption has slightly declined.

Lawrence O’Donnell made a great point. Nixon won his 1972 re-election in a landslide, winning 49 states. In 1974 he resigned. By 1976, you couldn’t find anyone who would admit to supporting him. Looking forward to history repeating itself.
The grift will not stop til he and the entire bloody lot of grifters are extracted, then banned from ever holding a governmental position again. This once great nation has never witnessed an entire admin with such brazen corruption & utter incompetence. They all must be held to account.
If the war stopped today and the Strait of Hormuz opened, it would take 12-18 months to refill strategic oil reserves globally. In addition, expect 3-5 years for economies to return to normal. One man is responsible for all this chaos. FDT #iran
