The public really needs to know how awful these people are, and how terrible are the crimes they committed. Our children deserve better. We have to stop paying lip service to protecting children.

That low number is just the ones that are reported by 🚺. Insignificant compared to what isn't being reported by both 🚺&🚹 because survivors of this atrocity are not being believed enough, are readily discounted, and crimes like this and their perpetrators are frequently concealed for obvious reasons.

The number is much much higher. I would say at least 90%. I’ve never met a woman in any setting that could say they’ve never been sexually assaulted.

As others have stated, numbers are much higher. Pushing back on the idea that it remains hidden behind closed doors, obviously it is sometimes kept quiet but enough is known that is not a shadowed issue. Safety is indeed possible when we prioritize it. Shout out to DV & SA workers, past & present.

We need to hold men accountable. If they were punished for what they do, they would think twice before doing it. Men should be holding other men accountable for their actions against women.

And the other 1/3 are lying because they already do
