A fun side note, all of the character animations are done in-game. I wrote some tools to help us record controller inputs and used our game's event and key bind systems to control the camera and a bunch of other things

1. Proud to say our game @layersdeep.bsky.social uses 100% human made, hand-drawn art from @mrchambers.bsky.social & @capercube.com 😌❤️🧅 2. Devastatingly, I think Vávra is correct regarding the AAA space. Most of them are doing it (at least in a ‘concept art’ way), they just aren’t admitting to it.

Finally submitted the giant lore doc that I’d been working on for @layersdeep.bsky.social to the rest of the team this morning. It started out as 31 scrappy pages in a notebook, featuring terrible maps (that will never be in the game lol) just so that I could map out game events in a logical way.
