LBC Watch

@lbcwatchuk.bsky.social

I listen to LBC (@lbc.co.uk) a lot and post in annoyance about some of its presenters' attempts to mislead the public.

I would like to see Martin Blake's text messages/WhatsApp messages/professional record before I swallow the "not guilty" verdict or the "no misconduct investigation necessary". I'd bet my house there's more to that story, which has been nicely swept under the carpet to prevent potential riots.

Remember that BBC Newsnight had a full show devoted to discussing Diane Abbott's readmission to the Labour Party, but so far has had no show devoted to an actual Nazi being cosigned by Kemi Badenoch. Let's see if it gets discussed tonight.

Pretty wild how if you say “Nethanyahu is a war criminal” (he is), “we need to get to Net Zero” (we do) or “people who arrive by dinghy are not illegal migrants” (they’re aren’t) All 3 factual statements will have u removed from the Conservative Party. But “I used to wank over Hitler” will not.

I'd love to know why the case of Crewkerne Gazette propagandist Joshua Bonehead-Paine, is a hill Kemi Badenoch is willing to die on. Given his output with that atrocious AI generated slop, I question the idea he's different now. (Reform)ed maybe, 'changed' - not a chance.

Ferrari also pointing out that Burnham says stuff but doesn't actually say what he's going to do or actually done anything. Not his fault in two weeks, but dents the spin. Obviously didn't do this with Johnson but details will suddenly matter day after day now.

That Joshua Bonehill-Paine is a suitable Tory candidate but Grant Shapps and Gavin Barwell have been excluded is quite a good indicator of how many seats the Tories will realistically regain at the next election.

The trio of: 1) the news around the early prisoner release scheme / PC Andrew Harper + others 2) being on 'holiday' 3) migrant boats being pushed back to the top of the news Will (rightly or wrongly) almost certainly be considered Burnham's first period of failure.

www.theguardian.com/games/2026/a... It is not unusual for one mafia to join forces with another mafia, and this is an example; the Trump/Kushner mafia liases with the Saudi Royal mafia. PS: nepotism in Saudi Arabia is a way of life, and the Trumps are catching up.

French forces held a fierce defensive perimeter around Dunkirk and lost 18,000 souls. 40,000 became POWs. Without their resolve we wouldn’t have our nation’s story. It’s estimated 20-60k French resistance fighters died during the war. You’re only diminishing yourself with comments like this.

When Boris Johnson was on the ropes in early 2022, he launched Operation Big Dog including the Rwanda Plan. As Nigel Farage is on the ropes in mid-2026, he's launched Operation Fortress, which includes a plan to send the Navy to return migrant boat. Same sh*t, different toilet. #BBCNewsnight

- Trump said he'd solve the Ukraine War in 24 hours. - Farage says he'll solve the boats crisis in "two weeks". It's the same tactic that will have the same outcome.

Rod Liddle was a stone-cold arsehole who actually said in a national newspaper that he couldn't be a teacher because he would inevitably try and shag the kids Apparently his editor has said, 'he challenged conventional thinking' If you mean 'was wrong in every conceivable way' then, yes

I feel like an old person for saying this but people are getting dumber and more entitled each year. I agree we all need to build defense mechanisms for a world where half the voters chose Trump and every major U.S. government cabinet member is a grifter that’s dumber than a pile of bricks.
