Predictable contrast with Swiss library: "Sure thing, here's a link to free color digital images of the entire manuscript, let us know if you need anything else."
Grappling this morning with paying an Italian library EUR 5,00 (difficulty level: impossible).
How do studios keep milking recognisable IPs when actors and directors are too old? People like making-of/behind-the-scenes documentaries, right? So let's start creating shows focusing on the making of a famous film! The originals were unique and fresh. Studios today are too scared to take risks.
Our actions today will shape Earth's climate until the year 3000. A new study in Earth's Future warns we've entered "Anthropocene quicksand": every tonne of CO₂ sinks us deeper, while only rapid action can pull us out. This is civilisational suicide.
The e-codices cache is hidden from the server. Therefore, e-codices does not have the ability to delivery images to the internet. We have contacted the IT folks, and are hoping they can find the cache.

Or, as Minister Jacqui Smith calls it, stabilising the university sector. Stabilising, as in slamming the stable door shut as you exit the premises, after the horse has limped through the door toward the lorry-laden roadside.
The Department for Education has confirmed that universities will receive £50.9 million less in teaching grants next academic year. Bridget Phillipson, the education minister has defended the reduction in light of tuition fee rises. https://ow.ly/6UWJ50ZkLlf

As Britain swelters through another heatwave, few people will have heard that ministers have quietly dropped plans for solar carports. Cars cooler in summer. Shelter from the rain in winter. Clean electricity all year round. A missed opportunity?

Worrying that the narratives about global warming (referred to as climate change, since 'change' is less worrying than 'warming') have shifted to resignation and acceptance. The Hormuz crisis could have been a catalyst for renewable energy. Why does this gain no traction in mainstream media?

the cuts to higher education in the UK are ideological. they are based in a false valuation of the humanities that is entirely founded in erroneous concepts of employability and demand. these cuts are not financially necessary; they are a stripping of the humanities for political reasons.
