People who keep pointing out that golf courses use as much water as data centres as some sort of defence of data centres drastically underestimate the amount we also hate golf.

Ten hours on a sleeper and finally made it to Sicily - Etna still smoking away, but considerably calmer. A day of wine, sun and nothingness ahead. Ciao!
So no trip to Sicily today - sitting in Bristol instead. Rebooked for tomorrow to Napoli then a ferry down the coast to get there. Turning into quite to a bit of an adventure. Bloody volcanoes - what’s the point of them !
In an airport at 3.30am watching the England game, waiting to see if the flight to Sicily is going to take off, because Etna has erupted. Apparently holidays are meant to relax you….

Nice Jazz Festival, a brilliant event, cut down to 3 days this year. Not the biggest deal in the scheme of things, but it’s completely down to the newly elected far-right mayor having ‘other priorities’ - the right are threatened when people come together and enjoy themselves.
New government policy seems to be kidney machines to pay for rockets and guns. The public gets what the public wants.
