I find armand's accent very interesting. like, he sounds english in the modern portions of s2, but like... acquired french in the flashbacks. in tvl, lestat's version, he sounds much more french, which makes sense, but also is he downplaying the french with louis to distance himself from paris.

This mentions Brexit as the starting point. Until the UK reckons with the role Brexit had in enabling the far right, things like this will happen more and get much worse. I don’t know how many more times one can say this but we are *a lot* further down a very dark road than most people realise.

reading the vampire lestat as a closeted teenager was so important to me. lestat runs away to paris with his boyfriend and says it's not a sin to leave a place and people who force you into a shape you're not. to be who you want to be, to do what you love.

tried very hard to be diplomatic in my reply to a message from my cousin in the oft-repeated tune of "you need to drop everything in your own life to come and take care of your parents" but I fear I came across as short. but I *am* angry and I *am* upset and do not have the mental bandwidth for this

EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS: My friend’s funeral is on 17th June. I’ve booked my train tickets but that has pretty much depleted my funds, and I don’t get paid until the 24th. I need to put my cat into boarding for 5 days which isn’t cheap either. See below for examples of my art! ❤️

Known variously as Esteban de Dorantes, Esteban the Moor or – most commonly – Estevanico, this enigmatic individual was one of the first documented Africans, Arabic speakers and Muslims to step foot in what is now the United States, arriving nearly 40 years before the first European settlement.
