EA's annual Ebitda is around $1.5 billion, which should be enough to service the interest payments. But the publisher has told debt investors that it will cut $700 million in annual costs including $170 million in "organizational efficiencies," per Bloomberg. In other words: mass layoffs

EA officially goes private tonight, meaning: - EA will no longer trade on the NASDAQ for the first time in 36 years - All stockholders of EA (including many employees) will receive $210/share - EA will take on $18 billion (!) in debt, putting it on the hook to pay ~$1.8 billion/year in interest

Catching the UK version of GHOSTS (we enjoy the US one) and it is interesting how much the US version just remixes various aspects of all of these characters together but they still feel different enough in approach and style to both be worth watching

I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

RFK Jr said these words today on national television "There were ICUs that were empty all over the country including in New York at the height (of the pandemic)" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You are a fucking idiot hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha <sobs silently>

If I can talk about streaming for one more second, it’s why nobody watched Young Rock and you can just say whatever about that show, probably true. If streaming wasn’t around, most of us would have watched at least 3 episodes of Young Rock

it's kind of funny that No Way Home did absurdly well and Marvel took it as a sign that everyone loved the multiverse stuff and it was time to go full speed ahead with more, and now Brand New Day has done even better and it turns out it was mostly just a sign that everyone loved Spider-Man
