ICE has now spent over $2.2 BILLION on purchasing 4 private prisons from CoreCivic, with the company banking half a billion dollars on the most recent sale. Of course, ICE will not actually operate these facilities; CoreCivic keeps the contracts to run these places for the foreseeable future.
Indeed, for 2026 Democrats, the "fringe opinion" is unwavering support for Israel. Centrists who pretend to be gobsmacked that someone criticizing Israel's genocide in Gaza might do well in a Democratic primary are announcing that they don't know anything about the current state of politics.

So where is the money? Who controls it? Who is accounting for it? Meanwhile Venezuela is still reeling from the Earthquake and we're no longer helping them.
