in local news, the cops made an entire operation to catch a narco, with the terrible luck that another narco was visiting him at the time and got caught by chance. and that guy was **not** one the goverment wanted detained. and now everyone is in trouble.

in the best of cases the police in my country make sure to take their sweet time, then blame you for whatever happened. your house is not secure enough, you're walking around the wrong places, how dare you open your car window, this area is known for crime.

For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. this is interesting, and one day someone will write how writers who are *not* using LLMs are altering our own patterns to avoid sounding like LLMs, especially if we like certain constructions and elements that sound "LLM-like".

I'm using claude to find some books and other materials and one funny detail I've noticed is that it assumes my context is "country" so it leans heavily on "Costa Rica". I have to correct it to show that the correct cultural context is Latin America, because CR is tiny.
