MAJOR UPDATE for all INDESIGN USERS. Adobe has screwed us again. If you are using the latest version (any 21.x), indesign will automatically generate AI alt text for ALL IMAGES. Instructions to change your defaults in the screenshot and linked here: helpx.adobe.com/indesign/usi...
I haven’t had any ‘proper’ work, barring smaller commissions (under £450), for the entirety of 2026! twitter & insta socials failing as a place to help with artist profile reach , & Bluesky not being a place larger clients are on yet doesn’t help -
Ian Fay@ianfay.bsky.social · 6mo agoIt's tough seeing every single freelance artist I know having the same "uhh I haven't had paying work or sales in weeks" posts, it's gotten extremely tough out there for us. If you have the means, please consider treating yourself to a commission or print or book from an artist you like, it helps!

This is what I have been saying. Forget about how AI affects college. It’s destroying public education at a rapid rate. Universities must stop pretending this is our problem to manage. It’s a society-wide crisis.

Remember when McDonalds made a genAI commercial and it was so universally reviled they pulled it from the internet. Do you have any idea how bad you have to fuck up to make a corporation like McDonalds just pull an entire ad like that. This shit is DEAD.
