MARCO RUBIO: These people are lunatics. They are insane STEPHANOPOULOS: You call then 'lunatics,' but Trump just posted that 'we're in discussions with a new and more reasonable regime'
We are, of course, not the only country to grant unconditional birthright citizenship: at least 35 countries do that. And if the authors of the 14th Amdt wanted to restrict it to slaves & their descendants, they could have done that. They didn’t, very deliberately & intentionally.
Trump argues that birthright citizenship was only for “babies of slaves.” Except, the Supreme Court ruled in 1898 that it applies to everyone born here. That particular case, United States v. Wong Kim Ark, was about a Chinese immigrant’s son. Not a freed slave. In short, he lied. AGAIN.
NBC: Under intl law, hitting civilian infrastructure is prohibited. Why is POTUS threatening war crimes? LEAVITT: POTUS has made it quite clear to the Iranian regime their best move is to make a deal or else N: Which objectives would destroying a desalination plant help? LEAVITT: Haley, go ahead
It takes SIXTEEN paragraphs for the New York Times to mention why the administration wanted to destroy nearly $10 million in contraception: It's because they claim the stockpile of IUDs, birth control pills, and hormonal implants are “abortifacient birth control.” www.nytimes.com/2026/03/26/w...

Arrested while the LAPD said arresting the Statue of Liberty was the highlight of their day... I don't know if that laughter and statement is appropriate when arresting someone for their freedom of speech.

What do Louie Lunchmeat, Jesse Owens, and Jesus Christ have in common? They are "signatures" on Sue Altman's ballot petitions. We found these and hundreds of fakes, using science and AI. Legislation requires attention to detail. NJ-12 needs someone who sweats the details. I'm SamForNJ.org

a lot of people are curious about not including rule 1. but, to be fair, rule 1 is 411 pages of legalese about what, precisely, constitutes a death market

Unbelievable any lawyer will stand up and tell the Supreme Court that the US constitution is not the Constitution. That the 14th amendment does not say what it says about birthright citizenship. A disgusting, infamous day.

All Texas county jails must keep temps below 85 degrees and TDCJ's refusal to do so is the main reason they can't keep rural prisons staffed. So it's not only cruel toward prisoners, which is literally the only reason they haven't done it, but as a management practice, it's dumb as a bag of hair.
If TX continues to install A/C at its current pace, it would take ~70 years for all inmates to have climate control, Judge Robert Pitman wrote in an order throwing out TDCJ's motion for summary judgment last week. 90,000 inmates don’t. Plaintiffs are asking cells be kept b/w 65-85 degrees #txlege

Rep. Jim Himes: We're giving Iranians billions of $ by letting them sell oil to China, which they use to buy drones from Russia. And, we're allowing Russia to sell oil so they can fund attacks against Ukraine and own our troops. You couldn't make this up in a Hollywood script.

Happy Monday everyone. What happens when you stop petting 😊
Lots of shallow, mean people saying snarky things about a man who was a child a year ago. Making my point precisely.
No 18-year-old should have to carry the pressure and guilt that young Mr. Boozer feels today. He must be facing ridicule and harassment despite being excellent at what he does. No one hates Duke more than I do but we treat young athletes like they work for us. It’s wrong
It would have been nice had The New York Times asked experts in the field why these law professors are full of shit, rather than framing a piece that looks like a debate that's with three percent of the academy is a 50/50 proposition.
