Tonight I like to think I honored Chuck Russell in the best way possible took my 10 year old to see The Blob 88’ on the big screen. He’s now putting pen to paper writing its sequel. I now see first hand how this film made @thejoelynch.bsky.social want to be a filmmaker.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Even if you aren’t a fan of Horror of the Scream films. It is such an interesting history and insight on filmmaking into a 30 year old franchise.
Too many forget Piper and others were in the Goonies music video.

Watched Masters of the Universe last night and there were times I swear they made this movie for @junkfoodcinema.bsky.social and @crobertcargill.bsky.social. Now I could be wrong but it very much felt like hey do you love Flash Gordon. That but Masters of the Universe.

Took me years to realize the scene in Gremlins where Gerald is found crazy in the bank vault by Billy is only in the tv version or special edition vhs/dvd releases. Not the digital.
A movie I watched a ton as a kid. If you haven’t seen it and enjoy westerns I highly recommend it
Same actor. Same year. To be in Police Academy and Friday the 13th part 4 is crazy to me.

When it comes to action films. I feel like Gary Daniels is always left out of the conversation. Always delivered great fight scenes and pretty great flicks. Like this one…
I think 1 once a week I’m going to revisit a film I think I’m in the minority that enjoys it. So if anyone who sees this has a film like that. Add it to the list neither I’ve seen it or haven’t. So I’d love to find some new under appreciated films.
Dog passed away. The youngest doesn’t understand. My oldest son processed it fine. My daughter is broken. I feel like a failure not knowing how to stop the pain she’s feeling. All she can say is no more dogs because she never wants this pain again.
