Absolutely stunning that in the NYT’s latest major story on Elon Musk single-handedly trying to save the GOP there is NOT ONE WORD about how he is the world’s most vocal white supremacist and advocate of ethnic cleansing.

The world’s most vocal racist will be the Republican Party’s biggest donor again. But don’t mention it. | Press Watch

Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.

4/ Fernando Vasquez, an 18-year-old citizen, was on break from work when agents chased and handcuffed him, then put him in their truck. After realizing their mistake, the agents left the teen alone in the woods, with no way to get home. Then they threw his ID out of the truck.

"For America to right itself, we need changes on the scale of Reconstruction and the New Deal. And I worry that’s not going to happen if Democrats and the broader anti-Trump left are taking their cues about what’s necessary and politically possible from the Times." newrepublic.com/article/2160...

The Left Must Fight The New York Times’ Monopoly Too

The paper’s editorial vision is out of step with the robust liberalism needed today.

This is exactly what's wrong with the tech industry, which my work intersects. It seeks people willing to see their jobs as a collection of preset, repeatable, tasks. This mindset views talent, creativity, and natural ability as impediments, not virtues. Tech values dronedom.

I am talking about working with people to even conceive of their lives as a set of tasks — that isn’t exactly natural and isn’t something we train people to do and yet its a precondition for figuring out what an agent would even *do*.

The media assignment is very straightforward and clear: Can you find, in the coming months, some of these 750,000 people and interview them? According to Vance, they're probably all "fake" because anyone who buys a health plan and then doesn't file claims is obviously not someone who really exists.

It’s surreal to see federal officials take a victory lap today for cancelling hundreds of thousands of marketplace enrollments, while massive health coverage losses are underway. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/22/h...

perfect from @warren.senate.gov “Allowing one Trump-aligned, foreign-owned conglomerate to dominate American news and entertainment is a disastrous outcome. ...The new Paramount behemoth is a clear candidate for antitrust scrutiny in a future pro-competition Administration.”

"Don't give archconservative MAGA cranks control of historically large and important media conglomerates" seems like a very low bar, but leading Democrats somehow fail to hit even that. If Democratic leadership wants to understand why it's unpopular with its own base, look no further than this.

I really hate the framing of these stories as "an AI agent broke out and hacked something." No, an inadequate sandbox meant that a powerful and unpredictable computer program was set loose on the open internet by the company that designed it. The agency isn't with the "AI agent", it's with the firm

If Biden or Obama had started a war that led to attacks like these on American bases—and then covered it up for months—the political backlash would eclipse Benghazi. One service member: "We're not defending these bases. We're just watching them get destroyed." www.cbsnews.com/news/new-pho...

This is how NYT describes Saudis bribing Trump:  “For years, his [Mohammed bin Salman’s] government has invested billions of dollars and extensive political capital in building personal relationships with Mr. Trump and his family.” tinyurl.com/4jrd4ber

Saudi Arabia Faces ‘Worst-Case Scenario’ After Being Rebuffed by Trump

I'm not a conspiracy guy. I generally believe things happened just as they looked. But, being ex-military and working with weapons, I've yet to hear an explanation for how Bone Spurs was hit in the ear with a high-velocity rifle round and ended up with nary a scratch or a scar. It doesn't happen.

Just a reminder this statement was said by a sitting Congressman to the public, Trump and his DOJ offered not one pushback, denial or lawsuit.. it’s still just sitting out there
