This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

Obviously not the main point here, but it's interesting how this is framed as content rather than policy. "BREAKING" is typically what journalists or influencers say when they have a big story -- not what government officials say when they launch "undercover" operations

It's become clear that this administration is just a protracted war on anybody who's read a book without pictures in it. It's a miracle we're all still getting up and going to work every morning. The psychological drain is the point, and I'm increasingly grateful to the people who are still decent.

It's hard to overstate how destructive the reflexive "this is a distraction!" stuff that politicians and commentators and people are always peddling. Everything is happening all at once. That's how authoritarianism works. If you can't navigate and synthesize this, you're not meeting the moment.
