I've learned I need a better computer if I'm going to continue to process JWST raw data. 6 hours into processing the Pillars of Creation yesterday, I ran a star removal script that crashed the program, all progress was lost. My fault for checking email.😬 Starting again, image is before the crash.🔭

Hiked 5 k on the trail in a light rain this morning, now showered, dried,cup of tea in hand and ready to work on M16, Eagle Nebula data from JWST that downloaded while I was out. I just opened the first 2 filter files and I'm so moved by the stunning images, I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes.🔭

6 hrs trying to mount a 3D printed EAF bracket to my Redcat 51=2 trips to specialty fastener store because 1st one yielded wrong length screws + 3rd trip because I brilliantly sniped 3 square nuts into the floor vent. Andromeda reunited with all it's sparkly bits. At the top of the image, is blue Nu Andromedae.It's a binary star system, 2 stars orbiting tightly around each other, so tightly that they appear as one. Reading about that when I stacked my very first Andromeda image launched me into studying Physics🔭
