The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.
What’s up, doc? I’m really asking any food science or agribusiness type out there: why I am suddenly throwing out bags of moldy carrots when I’ve kept bags (full sized) in my fridge for decades with no such spoilage? What is happening to journalism right now?

UPDATE: On 03/20/25, the FDA announced it was pushing back the implementation of its “Food Traceability Rule” by 30 months. This would have made tracing cyclosporiasis back to Taylor Farms much easier. Six days later, Taylor Farms made a $1,000,000 payment to Trump’s PAC.
This is what I have verified about Taylor Farms and this administration: 1. Bruce Taylor met with Trump on 07/16/26. 3. The FDA reversed its previous warning about Taylor Farms on 07/19/26. 4. Taylor Farms gave $1 million to Trump's PAC. I don't know when, but that's what got Taylor the meeting.
Washington accepted a job that came with a certain level of respect & deference, then gladly stepped back into civilian life. Trump has consistently inflated the power, pomp, sycophancy (& literal gilding) of office to the point where leaving is not only a letdown but dangerous. Why would he leave?
Heatwaves. Wildfire smoke. A parasite outbreak. It's moments like these where we need competent and thoughtful leadership to protect people. Yet at the federal level we have a regime run by a man obsessed with lining his own pockets and spewing lies about an election that happened 6 years ago.
