7 days to #TheMidterms I don’t know how to put this delicately or maybe I just don’t fancy tiptoeing around the issue so will just come right out and say it Please don’t be the reason we can’t do a thing to escape this abyss we’re in

The Executive Branch has no authority to regulate states’ election decisions as to candidate qualifications, and the choice to file a lawsuit like this just days before an election speaks volumes about the political corruption festering at the top levels of the DOJ.
NEWS — The Trump administration sued Alaska over Dan J. Sullivan’s Senate candidacy, arguing voter confusion could affect the race between Sen. Dan S. Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola, per Courthouse News.
I'm back doing some video content! This one on noncitizen voting. Check it out!
How may cases of noncitizen voting occurred in past elections? Senior Fellow Aaron Reichlin-Melnick breaks down the myths that surround noncitizen voting, revealing that cases are extraordinarily rare and never impacted the outcome of a single election.

Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy has refused to sell his holdings in data centers and other industries Ohio’s governor will be responsible for regulating. Ramaswamy is only out for himself. The longer he refuses to put Ohioans before his own stock portfolio, the clearer that becomes.
50 years ago, the Attorney General went to prison for committing crimes to cover up the criminal actions of the President of the United States. The fallout from Watergate led to the building of a wall of independence at DOJ that lasted half a century. That wall has been shattered by Trump's people.
Attorney General Todd Blanche says there's a "misperception that there's this separation and independence between the Department of Justice and the White House." "I work for President Trump."

Trump on Camp Lejeune water contamination claims: "If we win the House and Senate, I am directing the Department of Justice to settle all remaining legitimate claims as soon as possible ... if we don't win, there's no money."
Trump is going after people who default on loans? That's rich, coming from a man who in 2008 failed to repay roughly $287 million in loans tied to his Chicago skyscraper project. He also sought forgiveness from countless other loans for millions of dollars because he couldn't afford to pay them.
The Trump admin is moving forward on plans to impose financial penalties on Americans in default on their federal student loans and hire private debt collectors to go after them. The plans are unlikely to be announced until after the midterms.
Yep. Noncitizen voting is extremely rare AND there’s no real pattern in who does it; it can be people of any political viewpoint. That’s because it’s not some grand “voter fraud” conspiracy, it’s almost always what law professor Benjamin Plener Cover calls “voter mistake.”
Voter F̶r̶a̶u̶d̶ Mistake
False narratives challenging electoral integrity often cite ineligible voting as a prime example of so-called widespread voter fraud. This Article demonstrates that ineligible voting often consists of...

Does it make sense to deport a man who overstayed a visa but otherwise has no criminal record when his deportation means shutting down a food pantry that serves meals to 7,000-8,000 needy people a month? Does choosing not to exercise discretion in his case make America greater?
"It was the saddest thing ever. What he did for this community for the past 14 years. He made sure that people in need had food on their tables for their families." The pantry serves between 7,000 and 8,000 people each month... They said if he does not return, the pantry will close indefinitely.
Update: about 4 hours later and we still don't have admin access so we still can't post to the No Kings instagram account. This isn't slowing down the the 3,000+ early vote events today. We will drive the biggest early vote in history. But this should be a flashing alarm about what's to come.

Kinda wild that there have been wild protests going on in Albania for months set off by a corrupt Kushner luxury resort project and there has been barely coverage of it here 🇺🇸 and Trump never gets asked about it.

Important to note that a case as prominent as this would take years to wend its way through the courts, meaning any final decision (or possibly even any initial merits decision) wouldn’t occur until years after Trump left office. So in the interim it’s primarily a harassment/intimidation tactic.
Yes, absolutely. For example, if in the next few weeks, Trump sends ICE officers to polls, you know what you do? You go anyway, you throw them a middle finger, and you walk into the ballot box and don't let them intimidate you. What you don't do is despair and stay home.
I said this in a thread last night and in a thousand threads before it, but you really are doing the work of those who would destroy democracy and the rule of law when you are a doomer. You can be aware of — and vigorously oppose — the lawlessness of this administration without insisting on doom.
Trump’s big lie this morning unraveled FAST. Zelenskyy says the announcement was “NEWS TO ME.” Now a senior RUSSIAN lawmaker says he knows NOTHING about the deal—and suggests Trump is making fake announcements to manipulate oil prices.
