An inevitability, but still a sad one. The slow decline in circulation of WSJ (and all print manga magazines) has been a decade and a half long slide into misery. I'm sure digital balances it out somewhat, but still.

Comps/gifts/priority treatment are things media should reject whenever possible. Sometimes it isn't possible, and you manage those cases as honestly as you can. To instead treat these perks as an expectation, part of a trade between you and what you cover, is beyond embarrassing.
The first fistful of Generation X epic collections are on sale on kindle. That's dangerous.
This is just about one of the best videos I've ever watched on youtube, and I've seen the one where the panda sneezes. Charming, funny, and suitably reverent of what Namco were doing (and then not doing) with their retro collections.

The difference, it seems, is that you wrestle in NXT, and on the main roster you debut and don't have a match for over a month. Blake's a great talent, glad she's getting that bag, but also would be nice to see her wrestle again one day.

VLord Reads Too Much Manga@vlordgtz.bsky.social · last wk.Random late-night thought while I wait for my flight to Otakon: What classic (pre-2000s for this purpose) shojo/josei manga would you kill to see in English? Preferably from mangaka who don't currently have any of their work licensed.
Obviously more info and confirmation needs to happen with the Sid situation (Siduation?) but whatever's going on, Slipknot would be adrift without a DJ.
One day I'll work out what I'm doing at all, but in the meantime uh I guess this is every album I rated in July. Lots and lots of them.
