I know we all hear about AI all the damn time. I don't know if it's worse because I work in technology or not, but I'm sick and tired of it. There are practical use-cases for AI, like data processing to find trends or medical research and analysis. But in everything? Needing it to breath? Come on.

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

Starting a portrait of Dolly Parton. Rest in Peace, monumental amounts of people were impacted by you and will miss you for years and years to come. Your mark is inescapable in how you helped youths, inspired many, and kept creativity close.

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone. I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

Finally getting back into traditional painting after months of just not, even when I wanted to. Looking forward to sharing some traditional and digital pieces again soon!

I work in a field where AI is heavily used and endorsed. Seeing it used to make "logos" or images for slides, repos, etc, is all very discouraging. My mental health is on a steady decline seeing this constantly. So I'll keep creating to build up some balance in my life at least. Small steps.

I'm not the best at participating in Artfight. I'm still slower than I'd like to be with a lot of my pieces. Regardless, I do enjoy finding some inspiration to work on new techniques when I can manage to participate! Artfight has it's faults, but it's still fun and a great chance to learn.

Let’s take a minute to talk about the colors on the disability pride flag. As I mentioned yesterday the flag was designed in 2019 and redesigned in 2021, by disabled activist Ann Magill. It features five diagonal stripes in red, gold, white, blue and green on a charcoal gray background.

I may make a series out of these. Perhaps even open commissions specifically for these if people are interested in a bouquet based on their flag(s) and some cool skulls... 🤔 #commissions #pride
