I can’t believe I missed this for a while! Thanks to The Future Fire for posting a little interview with me for the edition my short story “We Will See” was featured in.

Saw The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui. As expected, Mark Gatiss was fantastic as Ui but it's a very disturbing part he plays. He turns from a disgusting person to something far worse. At the bows, you could clearly see that he was exhausted. I'm looking forward to seeing the play again in May.
It's never a bad time to remind ppl that there is a boy-goes-to-wizard-school novel with deeper themes, gorgeous writing, and psychological depth that HP never attained. A Wizard of Earthsea. Do yourself a favor and read it. Ged is the better wizard, better man, and Le Guin the superior writer.
I am very pleased to share my short story “We Will See” that has been published by the @thefuturefire.bsky.social futurefire.net/2026.75/fict...

Here we go, #HorrorWritersChat! Today is the 1st October, beginning of spooky season, if you ever let it end, and that means it's International Day of Older Persons. I like the idea of it being International Longevity Day but it isn't that yet. Today is about ageing and horror.
Just a reminder that panel suggestions are open! They will be closing at 11:59pm October 31st so get your ideas in soon! www.221bcon.com

I’m considering pitching an article on how authors may be altering their own writing styles to avoid accusations of using generative AI. For example, AI tends to overuse em dashes, write really long sentences, and list things in threes. Are you changing your styles or your sentences because of this?

Say three positive things about your writing: 1) I need some creativity to balance out various forms of soul-sucking energy. 2) I enjoy screaming into the void. 3) I have met some really wonderful writers after I started getting serious about this who give me hope.
Say three positive things about your writing: 1) I feel most creatively expressive when I throw the genre boundaries in the bin 2. The found family (like the lovely Emma I'm quoting now) 3. I get in character a lot, and I think dialogue is one of my main strengths... especially in Salmonweird

LF Howard, psychological and snarky horror from a woman’s perspective. Three word obituary: She went there. #Horrorwriterschat
Yoohoo, it's me! I am back. #HorrorWritersChat question 1: Right, this is the ice breaker round. Tell us about yourself and don't forget to include the hashtag. NO LINKS. We have an outro for that stuff, and nobody has the time to click it in question, or go to your bio to look you up.

I have a question. I have zero graphic arts abilities and have used AI to make my image (black and white head). Given how much the creative community hates AI is that offputting? I want something other than a photo of me, so I’m limited to AI or a stock image.
