After Max Miller’s statement, Bernie Moreno finally issues a statement denouncing Miller, saying he needs psychological help and should not be in Congress.
Hard to keep track of the number of times he's declared victory in his illegal war-of-choice. #86-47
An absurd event given the time we are in. How out of touch can the WHCA possibly be? Let’s just normalize this autocratic disgusting person by carrying on with tradition while he burns norms, traditions and institutions to the ground. bsky.app/profile/atru...
whatever magic Trump once had as a public speaker to non-cult audiences is long gone

It is interesting to compare the results of the 1928 presidential election with that of 1932. In the former, Hoover won all but seven of the states. In the latter, he lost all but six. In those days the political polarity of the electoral map was pretty much opposite from what it is today.
From Ballotpedia: Sixty-nine members of Congress — 11 Senators and 58 Representatives — are not running for re-election this year, the most since at least 2000 and 30% more than the 53 who did not run in 2024.
Fifteen weeks till the midterms - 105 days. Can’t wait!

People all over the world: “How can the Americans put a man like Donald Trump in charge … again?” Me: “161 years of a third of the country still being pissed off about the outcome of the Civil War. This is what racial grievance will lead you to.”
And you cannot understand America - our history, our present or our politics - without understanding the often twisted ways we have treated each other differently because of our physical differences. Our history of worshipping our own skin, hating others’, over generations, is like toxic mold.
You know how to tell when Trump’s FRIENDS and ALLIES realize he looked like a deranged old man last night? It’s when he gives a prime time speech and the people at FOX NEWS don’t want to talk about it - at all. www.mediaite.com/media/tv/fox...
Fox & Friends Completely Ignores Trump’s Election Speech — Doesn’t Mention It Once in 3-Hour Show
As other networks picked apart President Trump’s prime-time address to the nation on Thursday night, Fox News went in a different direction.

@ejeancarroll.bsky.social: "I don't understand how people can be afraid of a fat elderly man who wears apricot makeup, his hair done up like Tippi Hedren in The Birds and sits in a court room and moans and groans and complains”
Warnock: “Donald Trump lost Georgia in 2020. He’s trying to sow doubt on the integrity of our elections in Georgia so he can create the pretext to interfere in 2026.” @warnock.senate.gov
Explosive diarrhea is a medical thing these days. Being political, I first thought it was a description of Trump 2.0.
Donald Trump walked so that RFK Jr. could give us the runs.
CDC stopped monitoring parasite now causing explosive diarrhea across the country
268 of the 273 Republicans who were in Congress a year ago to be exact (98.2%). They’ll do anything/everything Trump tells them to. In many cases out of pure fear. When you vote for a Republican for Congress, you’re giving Trump permission to do whatever he wants. “In fact, Donnie - surprise us!”
MORE THAN 98% of the Republicans in Congress voted last year to: 1) Cut one TRILLION dollars from Medicaid: 2) Give roughly that amount in tax cuts to the richest 1% of Americans. 3) Give ICE a bigger budget than the U.S. Marine Corps. When you vote GOP, you vote to let Trump act like a King.
NEW: He was picking up a work crew to take them to construction site at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning. ICE showed up. And now this small business owner, the father of three American citizens, is dead. www.thebulwark.com/p/he-lived-h...
He Lived Here for 35 Years. Put Three Kids in College. ICE Killed Him.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was picking up a crew for a construction project when ICE shot him. It now claims he was the aggressor.

In the spirit of the World Cup, we have to acknowledge one American champion: Donald J. Trump for world-class grifting. Credit where credit is due: he has demonstrated unparalleled corruption and brought it to new heights.
Please, everybody, understand that your decision to vote affects EVEN THE FUTURE COMPOSITION OF THE SUPREME COURT. If a few more people in a few more states had voted for Democrats in Senate elections in the last decade, we wouldn’t have this Supreme Court. bsky.app/profile/thev...
Are you upset at the U.S. Supreme Court? Well, let’s talk about how our votes (or our unwillingness to vote) in U.S. Senate elections got us this bunch. I’ll show exactly how Senate elections led to this. (This is something I put together a couple years ago when I was posting on the old place).
The Democratic primary in CO-01 (Denver) on Tuesday was revealing. Diana DeGette didn’t lose because she wasn’t progressive enough. She lost because she wasn’t aggressive enough. In 30 years in Congress she’s been very progressive on the issues but hasn’t shown the passion voters are looking for.
It is now 124 days until the midterms (Nov 3). It is also 124 days since Trump, acting in sync with Netanyahu, attacked Iran (Feb 28). I think of this as the crossover point. From now on there will be fewer days till the midterms than from the start of the Iran war.
This man, who I understand to be a 17 year veteran, likely just threw away his military career. He is a patriot of the first order.
Today, our friend Jay USAF Major Jason Watson read his oath to the Constitution and demanded that Congress do its job to IMPEACH this President and cabinet. He was arrested on the Capitol steps. #DOOR @defendersofourrepublic.org @removalcoalition.bsky.social @citizensimpeachment.com
Today is Canada Day. 🇨🇦 Now, more than ever, many Americans admire Canada. Why? Canada has sane and sober leaders. Canada follows the rule of law without seeking to weasel around it. Canada welcomes immigrants and honors its native people (First Nations).
