Dad, husband, structurally challenged.

Am now remembering when some friends, one of whom was a proper Yorkshire lass, took me to the Generations convention at the Royal Albert Hall. Patrick mentioned Huddersfield Town in his Q&A and was immediately greeted with a massive “HUDDERSFIELD!” from my mate.

The photo is obviously amazing in itself, but the fact it reveals Stewart had a Huddersfield Town themed set jacket with CHARLES XAVIER embroidered across the hem makes it doubly valuable

FFS, my west country upbring manifesting itself in a regular inability to fully articulate the word 'probably' seems to have now spread to my capacity to spell it as well.

Anyway, was just watching the new version of “Treasure Island” for work, and looking up character names I was suddenly deeply, deeply certain that in “Closing The Casebook” - probaly still available from @obversebooks.co.uk - a throwaway bit of world-building that I was really pleased with...

Was listening to some incidental music which had echoes of the tune to 'Love Changes Everything', and from there I'm now streaming an album of Michael Ball singing live at the Royal Albert Hall, and oh god, how far I've fallen, and is it really only Wednesday...?

Remarkably hypnotic, and - when you remember they're dealing with the only copy in existence - quietly stressful. Absolute balls of steel required to do that job, here.

Christopher John Ball has put together a behind-the-scenes video illustrating how the recently discovered #DoctorWho episodes were examined, repaired, scanned and restored to their former glory. I'd carry on but you've probably already clicked the vid-- www.youtube.com/watch?v=x22T...

I may forget exactly which early-2000s movie it was - either X2 or Pirates Of The Caribbean - but will always remember the dude in front of us who ate a jumbo sized tub of popcorn… …and then proceeded to *eat the tub itself*.

The surprisingly large reaction to the dude smuggling a mustard bottle into Project Hail Mary is making me wonder ... what is the weirdest thing you’ve witnessed someone eat in a movie theater?

My watch tells me I had a sleep score of 100. A perfect night of over eight hours uninterrupted sleep. So, obviously, my shoulder blade is tight, which is then pulling up into my neck to give me neck ache, and i feel so tired it’s amazing I can perform basic functions. Yay! Go sleep! Good job!

Remember George the boor from the first wedding in Four Weddings And A Funeral? His real life equivalent is on this packed train, probably pissed and entertaining his children with stories of booze, cigarettes, and how much money he spends on things.

A track from the Scorsese “Cape Fear” just popped up on the mix I was listening to. I’ve only seen that movie once, when it came out, and have never listened to the soundtrack. But I instantly knew what the cue was from. Instantly. Elmer Bernstein strikes again, folks.

Copilot has turned up in all my apps on the work laptop this morning. For some reason, its handy drop-down menu only gives me the option to "chat" rather than tell it to "fuck off to hell and burn for all eternity".

That feeling when you're being slowly buried in corporate bullshit and desperately looking for an exit strategy only to discover a never ending sea of corporate bullshit behind every fucking door. Yeah, that one.

The history of the last generation has been right wing parties scraping a technical victory by the thinnest possible margin, then ruling like tyrants, then centre-left parties winning decisively and deciding the nation can only heal if they enact right wing policies.

In other (more positive) news, Liverpool are starting to play better, I enjoyed "Predator: Badlands", had a nice country walk yesterday in the dry, and started watching "Bridgerton" with the missus. Feels like that last one - along with the MCU - is the key text to unlocking the RTD2 era.
