www.obversebooks.co.uk www.blackarchive.co.uk Only publisher ever to publish books on the Radiophonic Workshop, Edinburgh at night, Gurney Slade and that Typhoo Tea Doctor Who book. Never published a book in Arial or used any form of AI in one.

At various times this week Obverse will be looking at / working on: * Two Blakes 7 books * An original sf novel by a well known Obverse writer * A new Cushing novel * A book on Tomb of the Cybermen and thinking about our first book of poetry, plus a potential very left-field Silver/Black Archive.

Oddly, in spite of having considerably fewer employees than Sony (we have one - me; Sony have more than one), if you bought an ebook from Obverse when we opened our doors 18 years ago, we guarantee you will still have a copy today (just drop me a line with your order number if you can't find it!)

A hell site exchange between some rightly complaining that he turned on his PS3 after ten years on non-use and Sony had deleted all the games he paid for back in the day, and an idiot replying, apparently under the impression that was fine and - presumably - that purchases from Sony are on a temporary ownership basis.

For those of a Who bent, this is also how the @blackarchive.co.uks work: the facts of most Who stories have been long established in multiple previous works, but what you're getting is a specific writer's interpretation of those facts (once, one Andrew Hickey obversebooks.co.uk/product/7-th...).

Thread. One thing I try to make sure I do (as I'm a creator of narrative non-fiction relying heavily on popular secondary sources) is make sure I'm not telling the same story as those sources.

I whizzed through this over the weekend. As intricate a case study of televison as you would expect from David, full of insight and connections through a dizzying array of sources. There are already a number of rich, rewarding books about Doctor Who's foundational days. This, happily, is another.
