🤔 I think there is an active difference between “making canon divergent changes to msq” and “hating msq so much you question why your character is doing anything and you refuse to engage with the text on its level” and a lot of ppl are conflating posts abt the second with the former
"why do i have to do all these chores for-" the wol likes to help people "why are these characters MAKING me-" the wol is choosing to do these things "why does this character act like we're friends-" they are
i feel like if you have a character who would not do any of the msq save for being maliciously forced into it you should probably simply not make them the wol. or at least not have that be the only lens you look at the story through
