I hate that wealth buys power. The fact that ppl such as Musk don't even have anything to back up their 'wealth', other than, well, belief from 'the market' makes it even worse. Bezos and his ilk borrow against what 'the market' guesstimates their wealth to be. They have *nothing* except smoke...
This really is a perfect illustration of why capitalism is bad. He had every advantage money could buy. He is a pitiful moron, but wields power because in the USA, wealth>ability. It is *tragic* that, as a species, we have elevated individuals such as that, instead of talented ppl without wealth.

That's *bonkers* to me. Admittedly I'm time rich compared to many but only six?! I probably average 6 a month via my library membership, which I'm very grateful for. #SaveOurLibraries

Which I think acts as a helpful reminder that people who read more than that are in the minority, as are people who frequent bookshops on a regular basis.
